Airplane Cast.

Read it, don’t read it, I don’t care…just needed to get some things off my chest.

In no particular order of chronology or importance…

On the clock as this is not a small list since I haven’t blogged since the 1st.  Yes, an airplane cast.  Heading to San Diego area.  Wednesday morning cast.  Super-speed version-one sentence per hook.  Let’s turn and burn.

1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  The plane.  LOTS of casts in vehicles/ different forms of transportation lately.  Need to wrap this up midway through the flight.  This will be rocket speed.  Come back for more in depth thoughts.  Let’s move.
2. Where do I start? How about at the top of one of the columns?
3. Andy Murray are playing right now I believe, and at least my eternal dark horse, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at least made a showing.
4. You can root for Serena, but I am rooting for Venus.
5. Article in the USA Today about the 1984 summer of movies, and Splash, Amadeus, Red Dawn, Beverly Hills Cop, Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid, Gremlins, Police Academy, Revenge of the Nerds, and Footloose are just a few of them…wow.
6. I don’t care about security, Zika, and other things…I still wish I was going to Rio this summer.
7. On the bright side of Rio, Devon Allen is an Oregon WR who…might make the Olympics in the 100m hurdles…impressive.
8. Quietly in a small sub column of everything, Bama reported some violations with 5 of them being football.
9. Messi AND the coach are retiring…pretty big fallout for the best team in the world.
10. Messi will come back for the World Cup-don’t kid yourself.
11. The flight from Denver to San Diego is beautiful, and I hope I picked the correct side if the pilot swings by the Grand Canyon.
12. Mountains before and beach after…epic.
13. Oh, and I have a window exit row with seat open next to me…dirty.
14. Oh, yeah, that cycling race is going on that we used to pay attention when cheater guy was running things.
15. I never thought I would say that Sheryl Crowe was too good for anyone.
16. The Rockies are doing their usual July thing, the Dodgers are playing about 60% of what their payroll is worth, and Toronto keeps it going.
17. Sticking with my Blue Jays-Nationals preseason pick for now.
18. Bryant Gumbel did a Real Sports special on Bruce Arians that was really cool…find it.
19. In the story about the guy who decked out in all MJ gear to play pickup ball, it never mentioned HOW he did.
20. The 76ers have signed Gerald Henderson, and outside of being able to jump out of the gym, I never really thought that guy would make it.
21. Well, of course, it IS the 76ers who signed him.
22. When Tennessee settled with those eight chicks who said they were assaulted, was that amount split among the whole group?
23. Just saying Tennessee probably can afford to pay each of them that amount, and I would have fought for it.
24. The Cubs are the second team to ever get their whole infield as starters, and probably well deserved for defense alone, but scary when the guy leading the league with a .347 average still loses in voting (Daniel Murphy).
25. I don’t know about you, but I think we will hear about Pistorius prison stories still.
26. Ray Allen has said he wants to come back to the Cavs, Spurs, or Warriors, and nice that he is flexible and isn’t appearing like he is just chasing another ring.
27. And David West will continue to sign one year contracts until he gets HIS.
28. I am perplexed mildly about the Denard Robinson story only because I am not sure if I am more surprised he was IN a pond sinking, it was 4:22am when he entered there, or that he wasn’t even impaired and allowed to walk.
29. By the way, my intern is home taking care of my cat, so this is unedited, written very fast, and sorry for any grammatical errors.
30. Here comes the Southwest stewardess, taking my drink order which I will get in 30 minutes, and giving me salty snacks in the meantime.
31. I think the Jung Ho Kang story will get uglier, but for now I will continue to laugh how a rich MLB player is on the app Bumble picking up chicks.
32. Don’t complain, people, about the Red Sox landing so many players as starters until AFTER you look at each offensive category and how many players they have on the lists.
33. Jon Jones has made mistakes, but his fighting style is flawless in a lot of respects and he is Cormier’s only loss…we should all watch the fight.
34. If the player the Nuggets finally reel in over the last few years is an aging guy thinking he needs $10 million more than what is offered, than there is a problem.
35. Sure, it will be exciting for the year or two his legs have left in him.
36. But Wade has played a physical style for years, and it will show…maybe that is why he needs to play at altitude (jump higher?).
37. I can’t believe that it was news on the actual wire when John Elway “reached out” to Von Miller.
38. I was taking pictures at the rodeo in Steamboat and the woman next to me even noticed the quality difference from my Droid and her iPhone.
39. Steamboat is now officially my second favorite mountain town I believe…maybe third worse case.
40. None of them will ever overtake Aspen for me.
41. Lindsey and I may or may not have gotten in the wrong shuttle over the weekend and ended up at a wedding 20 miles away.
42. I am not good at corn hole, but Friday night I played the most amazing three games and probably will retire forever…missed board one time…when I tossed it on purpose because we were already at 21.
43. I didn’t see the match, but still can’t believe talented got beat by pesky Wales.
44. Sad to see the Iceland dream over, and I want to know what flight change fees were for that country since they all had to stay a LOT longer than expected.
45. I can’t believe Chandler Parsons got a max contract.
46. Pau Gasol is the PERFECT fit for what the Spurs are looking for to reload, and they gain some points on offense and lose a little defense when Duncan exits stage left.
47. I will get to KD at the end…still can’t believe it.
48. Not even Tom Brady could get KD to come there.
49. You will see a lot of these during this cast, and I can’t believe that Evan freaking Turner got 4/$75 million.
50. I can’t believe that Delly pulled what he got, but with him I am HAPPY for him.
51. Did everyone tip their drink to the fact that Bobby Bonilla got his annual $1.19 million this past weekend, and will get that annually until 2035?
52. My computer battery was not at 100%-need to pick up the pace.
53. Nice that not only did Joey Chestnut get back his crown, but got his own record again.
54. My Loki shell jacket is the best purchase I have made in years, and treated me very well in Steamboat.
55. If you go to Steamboat, go to Mahogany Ridge and get the pretzel…trust me.
56. Biyombo got 4/$70 million…paying a lot for a high ceiling.
57. We went to the hot springs, this happened, and that was the fastest, non refundable $50 we have spent in a long while.
58. I got to see Karl Denson for free up there, which just seems wrong for any of you like me who have paid decent money to see him.

60. I may or may not have forgotten shorts over the weekend, and literally wore the same pair of shorts all day, every day for four days.
61. Steamboat is a town that also has excellent skiing instead of being a ski town that also has other stuff there.
62. I can’t believe that Djokovic is out of Wimbledon…still mind blowing.
63. Get brunch at Winona’s when you go.
64. And although the price is a pretty penny, brunch at Hazies on top of the mountain is glorious (and the gondola then becomes free…kind of).
65. So, the big investments by the struggling Lakers was Mozgov and Deng?
66. There are so many things wrong with the above.
67. Skipping all of my complaints about Conley, Tyler Johnson, Howard, Joe Johnson, Noah, etc.
68. I actually think Horford’s move was good for both parties.
69. Two of my pet peeves are when people don’t allow you to exit elevators without you getting off, and lines that don’t stay equally as long or get longer behind me.
70. I may or may not be hooked on Instagram moving forward.
71. Geez, Twitter AND Instagram…getting booked on social media.
72. Cavs…$54 million…luxury tax…wow.
73. Ryan Andersen got 4/$80 million????
74. I really hope this Kershaw injury just gets better so we can get back to his incredible season.
75. Don’t even get me STARTED on the Harrison Barnes contract…
76. I am sure Dirk is excited about a Barnes-Bogut core.
77. I think the Marlins-Braves game at Fort Bragg was the coolest idea since they started playing college basketball on aircraft carriers.
78. Can’t you See by The Marshall Tucker Band is one of my top 10 songs I think all time.
79. Tubing anywhere at any speed is just FUN.
80. I love water so much.
81. Steam rooms are the best cure for a hangover you will ever find.
82. I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble Rondo gets into in Chicago…let the complaining begin.
83. I just don’t have the bandwidth to enter this lip syncing Justin Timberlake contest, but know I WANT to.
84. If you are near Granby, you should stop by the Hot Springs right off route 40…kind of worth it.
85. Counting days until Bourne movie…
86. How come when Coming to America comes on the TV, it is so hard to turn off?
87. And that was when Eddie Murphy was FUNNY…not anymore.

89. Lindsey and I don’t do much sitting around when traveling, as we kind of live by the When in Rome philosophy…”what is the don’t miss list here?”
