And let’s get this on…
Hour before game time. Quick hitter with my series breakdown.
- The Steelers are saying the Ravens are still the Steelers’ #1 rival. I am a Pittsburgh fan and I agree. You can read the article at the players’ breakdown or I can just break it down for you. A) Only one team has beaten the Steelers in any meaningful game B) The Bengals are easier to tease than the Ravens because the Ravens have won the whole thing recently C) The Bengals are easier to tease in general D) We can flow chart this, but basically the Ravens are the old Browns, which are the original divisional primary Steelers rival. The new Browns are the new Browns, and the Bengals are…the Bengals. Make sense?
- Ali goes to the hospital for something every few years, but we all once again hope this is nothing and he is home swiftly. You think Prince’s death rocked the world??? Stay healthy, GOAT.
- They certainly are bringing in some class acts to that Mississippi State football program #jefferysimmons
- Randall Cobb wants NO mic’s near him during games as he got hurt by one of those mics in front of his lungs on a fall. Injury or not, I think we need to back up the trending mic’d up thing during games. I can hear enough.
- Jim Harbaugh backed up his tweet, calling out Nick Saban. The world is going to END if Harbaugh ends up taking down Saban in the football playoff any time soon. End.
- After a mistake in paperwork allowed Devin Duvernay to get out of his commitment to Baylor, think HIS voicemail is full right about now? Dude was #3 receiver overall in class.
- With the Pens taking care of business at home and being up 2-0, I MIGHT even be inclined to say they take this thing in five games and not six like I originally said. I expected a split to be honest.
- Maybe we can just have Serena play Djokovic when the French Open is done. I would watch.
- So, Hornacek getting hired as the Knicks coach either means A) I have forgotten about some part of Hornacek’s career when he ran the triangle B) The Zenmaster has gone mad and suddenly doesn’t need the triangle C) The Zenmaster is going to L.A.
- I personally LOVE Hornacek-just saying I don’t know why you hire one up and coming coach who you don’t have a relationship with over a guy in Rambis who is right there, has known you for years, and loves the triangle.
- I am not going off on a monologue. People without full time jobs can give more thorough breakdowns that you can enjoy. I will just give you my points why it is Warriors in 7, maybe even 6.
- Kevin Love is a defensive liability playing against a team MADE to accentuate a player like him.
- Kevin Love will be outside too much doing what he does well to get the offensive rebounds the Cavs need.
- Klay Thompson is going to give Irving fits.
- JR Smith will do something stupid or shoot them out of at least one game.
- Both team have pick and roll problems against the other team, but the Cavs have the larger problem.
- The Cavs are built as a three point shooting team playing a team that has already proven it is the best three point shooting team.
- LeBron can only do so much, and the Warriors have the personnel to limit damage.
- I think Shumpert might be a key guy for the Cavs, because I don’t see anyone on the Cavs who can really guard role guys Harrison Barnes and Iggy.
- The Cavs sometimes go small on people, but they would be doing it against a team that prefers…to go small.
- Know this. I acknowledge that the Cavs without a DOUBT have the squad that can beat the Warriors and I won’t even be surprised…just saying I don’t think it happens. Too much good has to go right for the Cavs and just saying there are too many players on the Warriors who can step up for someone else’s bad night.
- And scary to think about how young the Warriors are also…wow.
- That’s enough for now. We have the whole series to talk about. Imagine this. If LeBron loses this series, he goes to 2-5 in the Finals. Sure, he has played some better teams, but the only two he would have is with a team he “built.” This is a key Finals for him.

- That’s it for today. Enjoy the game. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro. Peace.
