ANOTHER Pats comeback story…

Thoughts for the day…

1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  Let’s turn and burn.
2. I think I really believe that Anthony Davis WILL do what he says and stay  in New Orleans and make them a winner.  But, they need to lock up Holiday and bring in one more scorer without a doubt.
3. Who is Trae Young?  You will hear about him next year in bball.  Dude is a five star PG from OK who ended up staying home at Oklahoma.  Think about it.  He is ranked in the same ballpark as some guy named Blake Griffin and is pretty much the highest recruit Kruger has ever gotten at any of the 17 schools he has coached.
4. Interesting that this makes KU STILL not a top ten class (odd) and leaves them still with only one five star (odd again).
5. Mark Gottfried is fired but will finish out the season.  Well, THAT locker room will be weird for the remainder of the season.
6. I mean, it is like being named Jeeves and not being a butler.  If you change two letters in the last part of his name it IS “fired.”
7. I think I respect people who give tattoos…because it might have made the headlines today but giving someone’s ass a Tom Brady face tattoo had to be an odd hour or two.
8. I love Nick Franklin because he is a MLB’er who drives Uber a few days a year in the offseason.  He says it staves off boredom.  I got a question.  If you are known as an underachieving high draft pick, wouldn’t going to shag some flies or drive to the hitting cage make a little MORE sense?  You get paid $500,000 plus.
9. Talk about people who profited on the Pats comeback.  Dude tweets to Genie Bouchard (was a and kind of is a tennis player until they figured out she should be a super model) that if the Pats come back from 25 down, he gets a date with her.  She says yes, positive the Falcons would win.  Obviously, he won, and very cooly she ACCEPTED the bet.  You might have done some good things in the last few days, but that dude WINS by far.  She said she would go out with him again too.
10. They are talking about making a Tom Brady movie.  I can hear the fighting texts between Marky Mark, Damon, and Affleck already starting.
11. Kentucky is down in recruiting as usual, so John Calipari will coach the U.S. Under 19 Team to get his name a little more out there.
12. How do people not see emails?  Not saying you aren’t doing something that blocks you from seeing it for a few hours, but HOW do you go an entire work day and say you didn’t see the note.  I SEE your name on the email.
13. UVA losing last night to Duke did not totally depress me.  It is Duke.  I get it.  Giles and Tatum showed their Mickey D’s ugly heads.  What bothers me more is this.  UVA’s team is DESIGNED to methodically get ahead slowly and wear you down.  I understand they are not good at coming back but that they are good at holding a lead.  The last five games have been miserable.  They are ALLOWING teams back into games.  This can’t happen.  The damn pack line D is DESIGNED to not let that happen.  THAT is what scares me.  0-2 in our last two games and now a joy ride to Chapel Hill.  GREAT.
14. Did the sun come up today?  Yes?  Oh, then I guess Russell had another triple double.  Yes.
15. So, there is a guy near me at work who makes constant beats at his desk (feet, arms, hands, mouth, etc.-he rocks out) for 8 hours (today I am pretty sure he brought a wood block).  We also have a FitBit leaderboard.  Do those beats count as steps?  Is that why he is always on the leaderboard but I never hear about him jogging miles before or after work?  Just asking…
16. Sometimes you just wake up and the bird are singing.  Melo is replacing Kevin Love at the All Star Game???  YES.  Let’s not have a break in the Knicks drama.  Let’s put it where the action is.  Love it.
17. Vince Young comeback.  Dude is making $100k at a job they made UP for him specifically at UT.  He is a legend there and had the best individual performance in a title game EVER.  WHY?  Delusions.   Come on, man.  Do your made up job and let this be.
18. Warrants are OUT at Michigan State.  Here is hoping no stories are like the Baylor stories.
19. Finally, the girls are allowed BACK for that NJ youth team (editor’s note:  I said it was high school…just youth…5th grade) who was going to forfeit their SEASON if they banned the girls.   Props to those youngsters and awesome on the decision.
