Back to being landlocked..

Thoughts for the day…no daily blog template until subscribers are online for a week or two straight.  Plus, I plan on doing some more work on it.

1. I have been traveling, and typically I would write this on the plane tomorrow, but I am in a hotel near nothing, watching the Heisman, want to post pics from trip, will be in a rush when I land (Steelers game is early) and don’t feel like posting then, and have an early wake up tomorrow for my flight back.  So, let’s chat.
2. Who am I kidding?  I will probably write another shorter blog on way home tomorrow.
3. Way to put a fight up in a statement game, Clippers, against the Warriors.  We might never be believers.
4. And stop talking about playing with LeBron and Melo, Chris Paul.  First of all, focus on THIS year.  Second of all, that combo won’t work because Melo would never give anyone the ball back.  Third, they have an NBA title and college title.  What do you have thus far?
5. I am rereading Inferno so I can enjoy the movie more.  I love Dan Brown.  It is an fast of beginning as I remembered and enjoyable thus far (again).
6. No new intern yet, so sorry for any grammatical errors.
7. A-49 tomorrow a couple days after losing out on exit row on way out.  BS.  How MANY freaking people are buying early bird?  Geez.
8. The Chiefs made a statement the other night.  That being said, those last two offensive attempts by the Raiders…were horrible.  Two sideline float passes with plenty of time left?  Come on.
9. When Lindsey’s phone died, Lindsey used mine.  I suddenly have Snapchat on the phone.  Not sure that is staying on there.
10. So, the Yankees call the Red Sox the Warriors.  The Warriors are called what they are because of the early 2000 Yankees.  So, they are calling them themselves.  Once again, I need a flow chart.  Yes, I already wrote this hook, but NOW we have new info.  On top of all that, they sign Chapman to a record closer deal?  Come ON.  Chandler from friends says “too many jokes” and that is true in this case.  Ridiculous.
11. So, OBJ is obviously not reaching out for the blind’s support as a fan.  Got it.  Understood.
12. Is there a name for someone who steals pens?  As an ex-bartender, that problem continues subconsciously.

15. I just realized that I go home tomorrow and own two cats.  Been a little peaceful, and don’t worry.  They don’t subscribe to this thing.

Whitlock getting robbed and told to go back to Africa, and the Brandon Marshall hate letter are both really disturbing.  Other people have written about this more gracefully, so I will just leave it at this.  A small group of people is really corrupting the stereotype for us people who wake up and treat everyone equally.
17. If I have a skip in my step Monday, it is because Matt Barnes and DeMarcus Cousins are getting sued.

19. Damn, the Army-Navy game is so awesome to watch.  I actually thought the better team (Navy) would finish things when they came back and took the lead in the second half, but gutsy Army would have none of that.  Great game aside from the massive amount of turnovers.
20. Tim Tebow speaking at all during this Heisman Trophy show is beyond irritating for me.
21. Yeah, I am sure Bryce Harper’s Twitter “wow” meant nothing about the Nats spending money on other people.
22. Toronto and Seattle are two MLS franchises that made soccer exciting and fun up here in North America, and great to see them facing off in the finals.
23. I watched a lady in Vero Beach buy $200 in scratch off tickets.  Wow.
24. I go see my folks and the temperature actually made people go into attics and storage and such for long sleeve clothes.
25. Once again, I don’t understand this Star Wars thing and am NOT looking it up.  So, Luke, Han, Chewy, and friends AREN’T in it?  So confused about this “Star Wars Story” thing.
26. I was glad to see that, whether it is a retirement town or not, people still drive fast and aggressively out east.
27. I noticed a lot of gun ads on TV the past few days in FL.
28. Asking someone how to get to a bar is hard to do without laughing.  Think about it.  “Hey, excuse me sir, where’s Waldo’s?”
29. I am glad that I stopped by Filthy’s so I didn’t feel like I missed something, but there was really nothing to miss at the end of the day…big room with two bars and tv’s.
30. I was just complaining how Christmas lights have had no advancements in the last 20 years, and my mom showed me “net lights” (brilliant) and a device that allows you to scan a light string and have it tell you which bulb is out (brilliant).
31. Lamar Jackson won.  So, no one wants to see someone back into the Heisman, but his first half of games were THAT incredible.
32. Lamar Jackson just said thank you to his Lord and Saviour “yo.”  Wow.
33. Alert.  Widespread Panic will be at the Virginia festival we ALMOST went to this year (didn’t go, but went to her grandparents and UVA instead only).  We might be going back to Charlottesville next year.
34. East coast time SUCKS.  I know I grew UP on this life, but I don’t know how they watch sporting events past midnight every night.
35. Waking up on Sunday late is kind of cool though.
36. I am so NON green when I travel and stay at hotels.

38. Vero Beach has a furniture store and cafe with an adjective-animal name, but no bars.
39. But, I had a beer at Filthy’s, Waldo’s, Mulligan’s, Bobby’s, Grind and the Grape, and Riverside Cafe.  Think I covered what I needed to…
40. Houston went with Applewhite over Kiffin.  If I am Lane, I am just staying put until the next MAJOR job becomes available.  Just going somewhere to be a head coach when you are raking at Bama is just DUMB.
41. Are the media stories about Russian doping new, or are they just posting the same article every month or two.
42. The testimony in the Will Smith death just keeps changing.  They are changing things up I personally believe.  And I still can’t get over someone saying shooting someone EIGHT times is self defense.
43. UCLA bball is on, and I personally think it would be funny if Steve Alford was on the hot seat at the beginning of the season and then possibly get a title by the end of it.
44. I can’t wait to get Aldon Smith reinstated so he can then do something dumb off the field to get in trouble again.
45. If you haven’t seen either of Grayson Allen’s monster dunks today, go Google it and come back.

58. So, McCutchen was heavily shopped with no deal done.  Bet his love of his Pirates is not as pure now.
59. Nova woke up and won after being down, but know that Notre Dame is a really solid team and will ruin some brackets in March.
60. The Trump appearance at the Army-Navy game was a little long.  Like whatever time he was on camera full time LONG.
61. Love you Mark Cuban.  Russell Westbrook IS a superstar.  On this topic, “I am out” on your opinion.

64. I just read an article about the QB who left Baylor and was looking for a landing spot.  Going to go out on a limb and say that Auburn is…a pretty darn good landing spot.

70. Just being BY a beach gives me power.  Yes, I jumped in all days.  Weather can’t stop me.  
71. I buy a random person a drink each night I go out.  Good karma.  Kind of crazy when the guy you meet and select is one of the best closing pitchers ever for the Dodgers.

79. My dad is not a fisherman.  He is an ANGLER.  Gave him a couple casts and immediately caught one.
