1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for joining me.  This will be to the point and quick.
2. After watching last night’s game, the Steelers are more in line with what I thought they were before the season. I think I should cherish the first two quarters of the Cleveland game.  It might be a long season.  We get the Panthers in Carolina next.  On primetime.  So, IF they are as bad as they appeared last night, the public gets a double dose before we tuck those guys on the direct ticket channels only.  I won’t even complain about the personal foul calls.  I think some were slightly marginal, but none of them were abysmal.  Actually, the one wrong call was against Baltimore.  When you look that bad, you just have to come clean.  Aside from our pot smoking/ driving running back and our kicker, I didn’t see much.
3. Other notes. It didn’t work, but that fly over the line thing is so cool that Polamalu does.
4. I love how cool Jim Nantz is that he is the #1 announcer in both tough football and less than tough golf.
5. Antonio Brown is doing too much for the Steelers. We could be using him more efficiently..and less.
6. Ben might be doing a hip no huddle hybrid offense, but where I hear Peyton yelling all kinds of stuff when he is at the line, Ben just looks like he thinks about saying something, changing something, thinks otherwise, and says “hike.”
7. On a serious note, this is not a good week for sports or the NFL. A.P.  We don’t know the story yet in full, but this is no Bueno on top of the Rice thing.
8. On a not as serious note, I FINALLY get A.P. on my fantasy team and THIS happens? Shallow, I know.
9. Go for the “culpable homicide” offense, Adrian. It works in South Africa after you shoot someone through the door.
10. Even the NCIS season premiere looks dumb. How do people WATCH that show?
11. Maybe if the Marlins don’t get in the playoffs, Stanton will get some sympathy MVP votes for being hit in the face by an 88MPH pitch. Glad you are ok, kid.  You are truly a talent.
12. I would have read more about the Danny Ferry thing if I wasn’t in between reading Ray Rice articles and then A.P. articles…and working. Too much going on this week.  But, from what I know and have heard, he needs a little break.

14. Did anyone out there really not think Chris Davis wasn’t getting busted for SOME type of drug at some point soon? HR’S.  17, 21, (1), 33, FIFTY THREE????  Yeah, he isn’t getting aided.
15. The Cavs are doing something with a fan lottery for basketball tickets since they are in such high demand. Well, if the actual lottery doesn’t work for you 3 of the last 4 years, you might as well practice the system in house.
16. Greg Hardy is watching all of this A.P. and Ray Rice stuff and wondering how long he should borrow his buddy’s golf clubs for.

18. UCLA might be all about football right about now, but their basketball family can’t be happy about losing for eligibility their big time recruit, Jonah Bolden. Considering the class was only 3 guys, it most likely kicks them out of the top ten I am ballparking.
19. I may or may not post my consultant college picks later or early tomorrow.
