Never have two basketball games with NO playoff implications been so big. OK, so the Griz can move between 6 and 7. ANYWAY, I have told you all many times my feelings on the Warriors push to 73. I wasn’t rooting for it, the Bulls would beat them in 5, and the Bulls didn’t push the envelope at the end of the season because they already HAD the record. But, it is a timeless moment regardless and the team…IS pretty badass no matter how much I want to hang on to 80’s and 90’s basketball. Nice job.
(BIG part of me rooting for the beat up Griz tonight. Ruin it, guys.)
On the other side of the state, we have Kobe. What more can we say? I am not a big fan, but I know what he has done for the sport. Thanks for telling us on his final game day, Mark Cuban, that you could have gotten him in 2007. Great. HIS day, Mark. We Colorado people aren’t talking about his night in CO today. Let’s frame it up this way about the legend. Here is a reminder of the idiots who passed on Kobe back in the day.

Yes, he is my guy, so that pushed me to write a little more than a sentence about him. Ex-Steeler, ex-broadcaster, almost ex-governor, and a bunch of other stuff. Class act, ex-USC guy Lynn Swann was named USC’s new AD today. Great choice. You need a presence along with a good authority figure at that position at any school, and USC needs a class guy to make the right decisions in guiding USC back to the summit of college football. They have been good, but not standard USC level football. Swann is the guy they need.
SINKER:

I remember reading about you preseason, Shawn Oakman from Baylor. Those articles were all good and nothing bad. Guess THAT party is now done after your sexual assault charge BEFORE the draft. Bad decision, bro, on a lot of levels.
THE RIVER:
- The Patriot way continues as they waive a first round pick that occurred IN THE LAST THREE YEARS. Wow.
- Nice that the police call Butch Jones before questioning his players…football towns.
- I noticed as I am adjusting to my new ride, I park very, very far away from other cars.
- I still can’t get over watching Ronaldo kick the ball through the wall.
- I can’t imagine killing shooting someone, but I especially can’t imagine shooting someone EIGHT times point blank.
- If Tubby Smith does go to Memphis, he will have had one of the strangest late career coaching careers I have ever seen.
- What do you think Josh Gordon and Johnny Manziel are doing right NOW?
- Rosenhaus dissed Manziel like most people, so now Manziel has successfully had two of the most powerful guys in sports in his corner and alienated both (LeBron also).
- Do the Kings know that we don’t really care what coaching change they are doing the night of Kobe and the Warriors?
- I do feel bad for George Karl for having to deal with Rondo and Cousins at the same time.
- Now that he went hitless for a game, I hope Story does something cool again to keep the story going.
