I plan on posting my college picks tomorrow morning and don’t mean to skip the good stuff in football this weekend in this hook.  But, with Temple winning last night, they are the quietest undefeated team in the country in their preseason written-about HUGE change of culture at the program.  Next up?  Notre Dame next week in a NICE signature stepping stone.

“Older?”

Well, I am feeling pretty good today if I am a Spurs fan.  Why?  Pop was nominated as the next U.S. Men’s coach after Coach K steps down, meaning I assume he won’t retire from the Spurs and still coach the men’s team.  So, he will just continue coaching.  I guess we the U.S. are of course in good hands, but it will be hard to find someone older as coach after Pop.  I guess that is the only way the best of the best will listen though, and an up and comer trying to tell Melo or anyone else to play real D probably has less effect than it has with anyone presently.  Just saying we are pushing age limits…

SINKER:

“Choice.”

I noticed an article about who the Mets hope win the Jays-Royals series.  My answer is simple.  They want the Blue Jays.  Sure, more stars.  I get it.  But, the Royals can HIT, and the last thing I want facing my ultra talented young pitching core is a bunch of guys 1 through 9 who can flat out wreck it and move the baserunners.   I would rather take my chance with high priced rentals.

That’s it for today.  I am off to Aspen, my favorite town, this weekend and coming home Tuesday.  I will pop on the radar here and there.  Peace.
