Catch of the Day.

Going to my favorite bar in Aspen to watch my boys…

Quick one today before my Steelers.  I would be a horrible blogger if I lived in Aspen.  Since I am here presently, let’s make this quick.

HOOK:

“Jones.”

Hurry back, Ben, but I wake up feeling in better hands with Landry.  He is boring, doesn’t have a gun, and was somewhat scary during the preseason.  That being said, every time Vick went back in the pocket on a non running play, I was horrified.  I will be more at ease today, and please give Williams and Bell LOTS of carries.  One word for the wise.  The Steelers are 4-2 without their leader.  The defense is better than we expected, and the weapons are there.  When Ben gets back, they just might be downright SCARY, people.  Been a couple years since I could say those words.

Side note.  Everyone is saying something has to give with the Jets rushing and the Pats offensive monstrosity.  I am not seeing it.  I think the Pats roll today.

LINE:

“Sad.”

I am not going to try and write something more eloquent in ten minutes about the Oklahoma State parade incident.  It is tragic beyond all belief.  My thoughts and prayers truly go out to the dead and their families.  Ridiculous that a celebration for young college students at the beginning of their treks has that occur.

-I didn’t see the Nebraska game.  I read about it.  Sounded like ANOTHER painful game to watch as a Husker fan.

-USC played like the preseason, playoff contender they were, and Utah played…like the preseason Utah team they were.

-I had a conversation about biggest disappointments this year in college football.  Auburn is my captain of the team.  Throw in USC, Georgia Tech, and Arizona State (and Arizona) as my starting lineup.

SINKER:

“Prediction.”

I will probably say more about this before game time, but I like the Royals in 6 in this series.  The Mets pitchers are stellar, but I think the Royals hitting is better and more experienced.
