One hook and one hook only…

I am known around my Broncos fans friends as a casual hater.  I don’t go out of my way to trash them, but I find myself fist pumping in a corner if they have a bad play.  It is involuntary.  Sorry.  I am a Steelers fan located in Denver who doesn’t change to the home team just because I live here.  ANYWAY, there are those who know me who think THIS Catch of the Day is the one where I pile on to piss people off.  Nope.  Not even close.  I am also NOT writing my SECOND Broncos article of the week because I am somehow becoming a fan.  Nope again.  But, I respect the hell out of Peyton Manning (actually got sad when he came here as I had to hate Broncos less).  And I am a realist.  And the item that spawned THIS hook was a losers pool I am in.  I am in the “secondary” one now, so I have given my Broncos fan friend first choice each week (so we pick differently).  Well, he is going Washington.  What am I going?  Am I taking Tennessee and the rookie starting QB against JJ Watt?  Nope once again.  I am taking the CHARGERS as my guaranteed loser for the week.  And ME picking them over a Broncos fan with a spread like that AND the chance to get the pick out of the way before the weekend I like too.  Bottom line is this.  No freaking WAY Peyton has this happen a second year in a row.  No WAY.  This might even get ugly.  The Chargers little winning streak this season?  Buffalo, Jacksonville, Jets, Raiders.  Sure, there was a Seattle win to begin that, but look at how that looks NOW.  Anyway, lack of preparedness?  Favors Broncos.  Injuries?  Favors Broncos.  2013 team vs. 2014 team?  Favors Broncos.  Defensive upgrades?  Favors Broncos.  QB badassness?  Favors Broncos.  Phillip Rivers might be good at answering halftime questions without hearing them, but he won’t be able to keep Peyton off the field…and that will be a problem.  This is a lock, people.  Stop being nervous, Bronco nation.  This is coming from one of the last people outside of Raiderland to expect it from.  Broncos win 38-17.   You can take THAT to the bank (meaning random Hard to Kill reference).
