Catch of the Day.

Unless you live in a cave, you are aware that a WR nearly broke the internet last night with an outlandish, ridiculous TD catch. Beckham Jr’s catch was out of this world from an athletic point of view, and of course lists have been popping up all day about where that catch would be seeded. From purely what he did with his body, it certainly might be #1, but it would go further down the list if we brought in “situation” into the measuring. Listen, this hook is not bringing what he did down. I am not, and as blown away as you are. If we had all day, I am sure I could bring up Megatron and Randy Moss video and maybe tap into the imagination of some old guy who watched Don Hutson play. We could even maybe talk about the MNF Antonio Freeman catch. But we don’t have all day. I will just leave it at this. IF situation is brought into play, you have to put Santonio Holmes, one of three catches Lynn Swann made against the Cowboys in the 21-17 Super Bowl, and Dwight Clark’s The Catch into play. And of course, my #1 would be David Tyree’s helmet grab. Anyway, for the catch itself, it is near the top of the list. Bringing in the situation and circumstances pushes it a little further down for me.

Come on, UNC. The rivalry with Duke is heated, but mainly stays classy. Nice win the other day at Duke in football. Nice also to have some spray paint on you and trash their visitor locker room. We already are trying to figure out the degree to laugh at you about the academic stuff…and then this.
