Catch of the Day.
HOOK:
Two part hook.
I do not like Jay Cutler in general, but I believe in the Cowboys failing in December much more. I smell a mild upset. I think Chicago wins tonight at home vs. Dallas. Plus, I really enjoy Tony Romo-December interviews every year.
Congrats to the Sixers, who won their first game last night. I hope they had time to celebrate, because the only thing that will allow them to win another game soon is because they play in the Leastern Conference. Listen. I am from outside Philly and still have a place in my heart for them, but when I have to rack my brain to think where kids on their roster went to school, that is a problem.
LINE:
This is the stat line on Nebraska’s new coach. Most people who know football know Mike Riley is seasoned, established, and mildly successful. All that being said, I don’t think Nebraska fans are high fiving anywhere.
14-34 as an NFL coach, 93-80 at Oregon State, 5-7 (2-7 Conference) this season, 1 10 win season, 1 bowl win since 2009, 27-31 vs. .500 win percentage teams since 2008, and TWO GREY CUPS (that is the highlight)
Bottom line. He knows someone inside, because he is simply an above average coach overall.
SINKER:
You did not see Wisconsin basketball at its best last night. Duke, of course, made that happen in part. I watched a team shoot all 3’s early and then need them late, and I witnessed countless close misses that happen when it is a bad night. Duke is impressing me early, and Wisconsin won’t go anywhere. They will tip again in March. Late March.
And in case you are curious, YES, I am still keeping a list for the official “rant.” On my second legal pad paper, which first one done front and back.
And a late entry from my buddy, Cerk. Brilliant and suddenly I would like to buy a fish.
