Catch of the Day.

HOOK:

The Golden State Warriors are playing top level, and some teams would think that they have the recipe for success, even this early in the season.  You would have to be nuts to not like the Curry/ Thompson combo, but there is more to this team.  Bogut is playing and provides a middle presence.  Barnes is being the almost decent NBA player we have been waiting for, and probably will keep getting better.  David Lee will play better as the season goes along, Speights is a pleasant surprise, Iguodala is defensive Iguodala, Barbosa is an experienced presence off the bench, and Draymond Green always plays his butt off.  But, that is not the hook.  The hook is that they were the smart team to reach out to Ray Allen.  Having another sharpshooter can’t hurt, having a guy with a couple rings doesn’t hurt the locker room, and I love they are still looking at every angle.  Bottom line.  I liked this team before the season and said so.  They now are proving themselves even more balanced, and I think they have a certain swagger too that is somehow endearing.  Way to keep trying to improve, Warriors, you know the road through the West will NOT be easy, and you will continue to be a team to be reckoned with.

LINE:

There will be many lines.  Maybe you care about TCU and Ole Miss as the football game, but even if you didn’t, you do now.  Tim Tebow will announce his first game as an analyst.  Let’s hope Twitter doesn’t break, and I believe I might actually use TIVO for the first time in a long time if I am not around.  Because just like whether you are rooting for Manziel to do well or not or Tebow to sound good or bad, you still will want to watch/ listen.

SINKER:

I am in a rush today, but the fact that technicalities got Aaron Hernandez off the hook for any mention of the 2012 killings makes me angered.  I was political science in college and get it, don’t know the internal information of the case of course, but have a feeling he did it and am kind of sad he got a victory today.  It makes me scared we are watching another episode of O.J.
