Catch of the Day.
HOOK:
“Paradigm.”
The Padres are on a mission. I am happy if I am a fan of theirs. They are plugging their roster with under the radar additions along with a few bigger splashes. They went 77-85 last year with a pretty bad team. Adding James Shields, Justin Upton, Matt Kemp, and Derek Norris will make them a pushover no more.
“Pop.”
Gregg Popovich just won his 1000th game. I can’t write in a few sentences anything better than professionals write in articles, so I will just be succinct. Pop is class, winning, methodology, and teaching at its best. Longest tenured coach in a US major sport, most consecutive winning seasons, and is one of 9 coaches with 1000 wins. Oh. Forgot he won five titles too. I am kind of still hoping that Duncan and him go out at the same time after a title, and that task once again doesn’t seem so far fetched. Plus, he is one of the best interviews out there.
LINE:
“Bipolar.”
I thought I knew who Iowa State was, and then they get RUN by OU last night.
I thought I was wrong at the beginning of the season that Oklahoma State was a dangerous squad, I kind of lost hope, and then they go out and beat KU and Baylor AT Baylor.
“Dirty.”
AND everything Kevin Durant did last night, especially the couple minutes of blitzing Mr. Faried.
SINKER:
“List.”
-Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show stinks.
-Mr. Wade is hurt for the ASG, and not sure the fans will let that dipping game average have an honorary vote in next year.
-A-Rod has “apologized” to the Yanks and here is hoping they win that dispute with those ridiculous home run incentives they put in place before we found out he was a cheater…twice.
-DeMarcus Cousins sounds like he is about to lose it. Karl is pretty old, but I think we should still pull the mic away from Mr. Cousins. Sounding a little OUT there…
-Another year of Melo possibly shutting it down for injury and me not caring.
-Actually everything involving the Knicks, Melo, and their owner is a sinker right now.
-Thoughts and prayers to Jerry Tarkanian, who single handedly I think put Duke on a whole other level before their own ’90’s run.
-Sad to see Tony Dorsett is having bad CTE problems.
-I don’t have time to go through all of the NBA trades I WISH would happen.
-UGA’s Todd Gurley is sure picking a good year to be a running back in the draft, with the Seahawks in rumor central with Lynch and the Colts likewise with Richardson.
-Sad to hear Mr. Sabol died, and thanks for creating something I literally grew up on with NFL Films.
-Sad to see Dawn Staley’s (UVA grad) up and coming South Carolina squad get WRECKED by the reigning top of the pile…UCONN.
-And finally, I leave you with LA Sports. Notice BOTH mistakes. I hope you were entertained. Peace.
