Catch of the Day.
HOOK:
“Best.”
Duke-UNC notes, and keeping it brief. This is a quick hitter.
-Having Bill Walton announcing on the flipper channel was golden and a great bball night.
-Having no Vitale announcing was empty and MORE empty when the game became an instant classic.
-UNC doesn’t lose anything on its resume. They played well, and no team is docked for losing at Duke. Take a deep breath, Vince.
-If you would like to blow your own mind, Google the rivalry and look at the amount of points scored by each team in I believe 88 meetings.
-Maybe the greatest rivalry in sports…definitely the best rivalry in college basketball.
-That was one classy Dean Smith moment of silence at the rival’s home turf.
-I think Tokoto just jumped up to top ten in the draft after last night.
-An overtime game for Duke-UNC is just a bonus for all of us junkies. No matter who is up or who is down, they play each other tight each time. I will NOT look it up, but I remember TWO games in the last ten years that were blowouts.
-Amazing UNC hung in there when Paige (the one guy who can shoot from long range) was having a bad game.
-I think I am motivating a comeback in eating Cheerios as a snack food straight up. Delicious, you have to watch how many you eat at once, and especially when your parents had to call over a doctor after school because you shoved one up your nose during Inspector Gadget before doing homework.
-I am adding Sweet Tarts to my list of the two things sweet I still eat. Coke Zero and Sweet Tarts.
LINE:
“Loss.”
Jerome Kersey. You were a fantastic basketball player. You will be missed.
SINKER:
“Miscellaneous.”
(my attempt to keep my list clean for the weekend to avoid a monster Sunday rant)
(I will start out with basketball since when you make a basket, you “sink” it.
-Chris Bosh is the happiest guy in the world right now, because he plays in the Least, still has Wade, and Dragic is a STUD.
-Not sure about his brother.
-Garnett is going back to the Wolves? Who wants to go BACK to Minnesota?
-LOVE the move by the Pistons to get Reggie Jackson. If there is one PG in the league with starter potential who is stuck behind a superstar who is not going away any time soon, it is him.
-I am still not sure of the Sixers plan, but Denver wishes you luck with McGhee. Are you trying to set a record for overpaid, underperforming, or hurt front court players?
-Mariota is confident about his future NFL success, and probably is still confused that Winston might go before him with all of his dumb shit.
-Tiger is not ready to play, and I thought when he said he would let us know when he is ready, that it would NOT be like two days after he said the original statement.
-My brother is seeing flying saucers in Sugar Mash on level 846 (that makes me…something…846????), and the hot news is that my fiancee is on 845. Game on.
-Disclaimer would be that my brother reached the level…where they were OUT of levels…first.
-Scary stuff, y’all.
-Sandoval got paid and showed everyone is gut this week. Nice. Way to make people believe we are paying for ball players to work really, really hard. I am sure it is genetic.
-The Suns gave the Celtics Thomas, meaning they now have 15 PG’s. Good job on getting out of there, Goran.
-MJ wants to build a golf course, so let’s show all of his highlights of all time…again. That is NOT sarcastic.
That is all for today. I hope you were entertained. Peace.
