1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  This is a lunchtime SUPER speed version as I jump on a plane in a couple hours going to my favorite town in the world to enjoy a weekend with the lady before spending the work week there at a tradeshow.  For you newbies, speed rants are not the highest quality.  One sentence per hook, and I am not even sure what SUPER speed means.  Let’s just say I am in a rush to clear the list.  No editing.  Sorry for any grammatical errors.  Let’s move.
2. If only UNC had ONE more shooter.
3. Wisconsin-Arizona take two will be SPECIAL.
4. Traevon Jackson being back for Wisconsin gives them another shooting threat, being that he was the starting PG before his injury.
5. Arizona still wins, and I can’t WAIT for Arizona-Kentucky next week.
6. I hope Lindsey is arranging all of the TV details while we are on a plane tonight briefly.
7. If you are curious, San Diego, New Orleans, and Boston are my big three in the States.
8. When Notre Dame is ON, they are scary, although Wichita State I thought would still be able to give them a run.
9. They better be ON against Kentucky, because three point shooting is one of the few weaknesses (splitting hairs) of UK.
10. They got their ass beat.
11. But not as bad as West Virginia, and I have a feeling Daxter Miles comments accounted for an extra ten or so points.
12. I don’t watch Dancing with the Stars, but is Michael Sam still on that and how can he sell to an executive he is serious when competing in that…4.99.
13. For some weird reason, I guess it makes sense there was a weird thing like a bomb threat at the Hernandez trial.
14. El Tigre is 50-50 for The Masters, and being at one time his all time biggest fan, I am not sure if I care if he plays.
15. Once again, I am tired of the Vikings-A.P. story, and YOU ARE UNDER CONTRACT, A.P.
16. I would say disregard any Drew Brees rumor, as the Sean Payton-Drew Brees ship will have both of them on it until one retires.
17. The poor Rockets finally get their big man back and now might lose Beverley?
18. Great story that Still’s daughter now is in remission.
19. I still think the term “friendly” in soccer is silly.
20. The Falcons and Browns will get severe penalties for odd violations-texting to sideline and generating fake crowd noise.
21. But as long as Belichick gets those extra goal line cameras, everything will be OK.
22. So the stupidity of changing the extra point in the NFL can only be superseded by them voting down each team getting the ball once in an overtime game.
23. Football shouldn’t worry about the amount of players like Jack Miller bowing out of football for fear of concussions, but they better worry about the pipeline of concerned parents thinking about sending their kids to Pop Warner.
24. Is there going to be a reality show with Kevin Love and LeBron in the offseason?
25. The Warriors won their first Pacific title since 1976, and storytelling about Rick Barry has now peaked.
26. I hear the Skins might take a QB at #5 and this is a brutal rumor as we just celebrated Colt McCoy going down with the ship earlier this week.
27. The depression of Maryland Terrapins fans became easier to deal with finding out that Melo Trimble WILL return to school next season.
28. I am glad that I only have one entry of three left in my knockout pool, because creating spread sheets and flow charts for the sake of basketball is kind of brain damage.
29. Another year, and another round of “Will Derrick Rose return…”
30. I think going out and having beers with Randy Gregory and hearing about how he is not addicted to pot sounds fun.
31. I have to say Vince is really awesome because he wrote it on my blog list last night apparently.
32. But, he is pretty awesome anyway.
33. My pretty boy friend, Cerk, had a chance to catch up with Vince, Walt, and I last night, actually stopped by and had a beer, and then went to get a scheduled haircut that evidently you do NOT cancel when you are that much of a face guy.
34. Enough fantastic articles have been written on the coolness of Dean Smith leaving $200 to every letter winner in his will, so I won’t try and top any of them.
35. If you haven’t seen the 4.22 40 the kid from UCF ran, you should Google it and check it out.
36. The ACC made itself $28 million with its tourney success, and I apologize for UVA being the odd weak link.
37. I am glad Ben Howland is back coaching basketball, and I am not totally sure where he has been for the last couple years.
38. VERY cool for a young person like Ms. Davis for forgiving the kid who called her a slut on Twitter.
39. Ilya Kovalchuk is mulling over a return to the NHL ice next year, and you can break down his stats ANY way you want…dude can flat out SCORE.
40. If Alabama offers Gregg Marshall a job, why would he take it when he is at a winning program and Bama is just another subpar, non traditional basketball program with no upside?
41. Way to knock out the Browns from an opportunity on Hard Knocks, bad boy Manziel.
42. Just when we already can’t find a reason to dislike anything about JJ Watt, he restructures his contract to give the Texans another $8 million.
43. Yes, Chicago Bears, you signing Ray McDonald looks a little desperate.
44. I am not sure which is more weird…ASU calling Jeff Capel or Jeff Capel being called.
45. Did I miss the event that triggered us all suddenly caring about the contract of Philip Rivers in the offseason?
46. Coaches generally are given 3-5 years to bring in THEIR system and players, and I concur that Steve Lavin has used that up before being fired today.
47. Let’s all hold hands, bow our heads, and think about how bad we feel for Urban Meyer and his painful QB problem.
48. Wow, and JUST broke while I am writing this…Durant out for 4-6 months????? The Thunder can’t have ONE season when they are in their prime where everyone is ready to play.
49. That is it. Enjoy NC State beating Louisville, Michigan State beating OU, Duke beating Utah, and Gonzaga punishing UCLA.  You may or may not hear from me this weekend.  Blogging becomes much more unimportant when I am a mile from the ocean.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  As one shepherd said to the other shepherd, I am getting the flock out of here.  I leave you with the following picture.  Peace.
