Catch of the Day. Breck.
Quick one today. Writing this sitting next to Lindsey driving in I-70 traffic on way to Breck. I assume she doesn’t want me drifting off for two hours into my blog zone. Will post when I get to Breck. Let’s move.
- If I had enough free time in life, I would have checked out the Spurs-Cavs game. Sounded like it had playoff feel a little. One team continues to streak and stops the other team’s streak of their own. And one team can’t feel too bad because it was at the winning’s team’s crib, where they haven’t lost in 1000 games. Could be an NBA Finals matchup if the Warriors drop the ball anywhere.
- Seriously, after ALL of this hype on the Warriors, the Spurs are just hanging out a couple games behind.
- If I had enough free time in life, I would have watched Iowa take out Michigan State at HOME. MSU. Two losses. Both SMOKED by Iowa. I can’t figure out if I learned more about Iowa or MSU during those games, but we are in the fun time of the year.
- Well, I am.
- My free time is GONE because we are about ready to do scuba certification (for the Belize honeymoon and swimming with sharks) next week and it is a little more complicated going to the bottom of the ocean carrying around compressed air than amazingly I thought.
- Luckily, it is going into water. I would rather be in water than on land ANY day.
- I agree with the Lions keeping Jim Caldwell. No one really groundbreaking on the market, and Caldwell kept a VERY losing team together midseason and rallied them for a middle of the road finish. You can argue with a lot of things, but the players kept playing for him. Pretty stellar.
- The Bucs hired internally, and promoted their OC. I would respect this more if it wasn’t total BS that they let Lovie Smith go in the first place.
- Speak for yourself, but I am hoping for a future Barnes-Fisher “event” when they see each other. Just sounds fun with two scrappy guys.
- Throw in the change of scenery. Throw in the Kaepernick intrigue. Throw in that the Eagles might have made a mistake. What it boils down to is this. Chip Kelly has a second shot, and he is getting a BOATLOAD of money to have that second chance. Man up, Chip.
- So, there was the whole movement to get enforcer John Scott on the NHL All Star team, and then they TRADE him? That is kind of funny. At least he is going to the Canadiens. Not a bad pit stop and the dude is officially an All Star.
- Unless you HATE college basketball, watch one game this weekend. OU-WVU. This game will be FUN to watch for non fans and should be competitive as heck. Go, Press Virginia.
- I think New England finds a way and wins 23-20. I think Seattle rolls Carolina 30-20. I think Arizona handles business efficiently 27-13. And of course…
- I think I can’t figure out HOW the Steelers beat the Broncos at their crib down 2.5 out of 3 stars, but I will hope for the best. And remember all those mean things I said about you over the years, Todd Haley? Well, if you pull THIS one off, I will never say another bad thing about you…ever. You have always worked your offense with men down it seems, but this is beyond crazy limited. I WILL say THIS. No one is better than Antonio Brown of course, but IF you had to pick a position to go into your depth, it would be WR for the Steelers. They are deep as heck.
- Should be fun watching all the receivers run 10 yard routes for Ben since he won’t be able to throw it farther.
- STILL better than what we have seen from Landry or Vick though.
- Thanks for the apology, Mr. Jones. You are an idiot.
- That’s it. Hope you enjoyed or at least are more informed. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro.
- Just a tagline. I will squeeze one in either tomorrow or Sunday, but it will be a brief one since I am in Breck and will be through Monday morning as Lindsey has a holiday. Beautiful place, and Broncos fans might be glad I am not at work Monday to glow in my vcictory??? Wow, I sound confident. Peace…again.
