Catch of the Day. Castaway.
Catchy, right? I left my blog list at home and had to create a new one, so “cast-away.” Moving on. Eight things you should care about today.
- NCAA- I said the nice things about Bo Ryan yesterday, and now I begin my subtle nervousness over UVA basketball. Not because they are good, but because Tony Bennett, their coach, grew up in WI, went to school in WI, has parents in WI, was an assistant in WI, still has a home in WI. Ugghhh. Stay at UVA, Tony.
- NCAAF- You think YOU are hated? Well, wait until newly signed Michigan FIVE star RB Kareem Walker plays against Ohio State (where he originally committed to) each year.
- NBA1- Just in case you think the Warriors lost a game and are full of flaws and too much about Steph, Klay Thompson has a 27 point quarter.
- NBA2- Whether Dwight Howard/ Snowball SAYS he wants to be traded or not is neither here nor there. There is a rumor, he will probably leave after another failed stop, and recruiters would start looking at his resume and say “he doesn’t stay long enough at one job.”
- NFL- I see that Mike Pettine reeled back his Russell Wilson comments. Smart man, but the sleeping dog already twitched.
- NHL- The Patrick Kane point streak is now history, but let’s all keep in mind how HARD it is to be that consistent every single night in the hardest sport to win the title in.
- MLB- Just in case you woke up this morning and Bartolo Colon wasn’t pitching anymore, you would be wrong. The 14-13, 4.16 ERA, 31 starts 42 year old just signed with the Mets for $7.25 million for one year.
- I probably WILL lose this week and be out as the #1 seed, but tell me this is not a pretty stacked starting lineup with Amari Cooper sitting the bench this week?
That’s it for today. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro. Peace.
