Catch of the Day. Megatron.

HOOK:

“Moment.”

It started out as a joke.  The fans had a movement that ballooned into reality.  They got perennial journeyman, John Scott, on the NHL All Star Game.  What a story, right?  Right.  Well, this wasn’t over.  Scott had to still PLAY in the game.  So what does he do?  He scores two goals and gets MVP.  Great story and what a moment.

LINE:

“Tonight.”

Scary game tonight for North Carolina.  We all know that Louisville is NOT the quality of team that the score Saturday indicated to us.  UNC now has to play a team who is beyond pissed at their last performance and wanting to take it out on someone.  Not sure they can take out UNC right now, but they get them at their crib and it should be a fun game.

SINKER:

“Johnson.”

Calvin Johnson will be retiring early, wanting to save his body for his 30’s.  I think this is surprising in a way, but crazy how there are not more stories like this.  With the whole concussion issue prominent right now, I think we can expect more guys doing this earlier in their career.  Shame for the Lions.  They get hot late in the season to save their coach, have underachieved for years it seems, and now have a huge void at WR, which was their strength.  Crazy that a guy named after a freaking robot is the one who decides wear and tear is bad.

THE RIVER:

-Notre Dame has flipped SEVEN recruits and looking for an eighth.  That is crazy.

-Duke is out of the top 25 rankings and LOOK.  The world didn’t end.  Everything is going to be ok.

-Thought I was going to go a full day without hearing about the Cavs, but then ESPN decided to tell me LeBron and friends had a players only meeting a little while back.
