Catch of the Day. My ten thoughts for the day.
- Hue Jackson apparently took the job in Cleveland with the assumption that the Browns would not have Manziel on the roster. So, now instead of the fun being where Manziel would pop up on social media next, it can now be that AND which team will pick him up and how.
- No normal person is “happy” when someone’s life is taken, but I have to say that I wasn’t “sad” the Lawrence Phillips saga ended. I remember when he actually was still on my Rant Squad. Happy trails, bro.
- Clemson beat Duke, KU already lost, and the Tide beat unbeaten South Carolina. My, this week is shaking things up in our round robin of who IS a contender. This is the beginning of college hoops getting REALLY fun.
- I read ESPN’s greatest PG’s of all time article. Listen, I am drinking the Steph Kool-Aid also, but can he have a FEW more good years before propping him above Zeke? Come on. Let’s be a little real here. Isiah still is in the top 4 EASY.
- The 49ers hired Chip Kelly today. I am smirking somewhere if I am Colin Kaepernick. Might be some more fun to be had by him in that offense… But, overall I think Torrey Smith said it best today.
- Coughlin withdraws from the Eagles search…probably after further researching what Chip Kelly did to that roster. I love Coughlin, but nice that a coach who RESIGNED tells us he has a few more years left but he is in win now mode. Ummm, most winning teams don’t have a job opening, Tom. Just saying.
- The Nuggets took out the Warriors. This is somewhat surprising, but here is the thing. Steph’s shin is still not right, the Nuggets are truly young and fearless, and coming back IN altitude…just doesn’t work well. Altitude is the real deal.
- The mother of Demaryius Thomas might attend her first live game with her son playing. Don’t do it. Wrong game for your first one. Broncos are going down… This is coming from someone who got Tebowed his last visit to the Broncos’ crib in the playoffs.
- I did not win the Powerball. Just letting you know.
- Finally, Picabo Street (pictured) had the hearts of the nation during her Olympic skiing performance a while back. Well, her family continues to ski in a way, as she pushed her father down the steps because he had touched the house with the car evidently.
That’s it. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro. Peace.
