Things I think you should know today…

1.  KU gets DOMINATED by Press Virginia for 40 minutes.  UVA bounces back from two bad road losses to beat the media’s latest “most dangerous team” darling, Miami.  By the time March rolls around, we will have the largest amount of flawed teams that can still win it that we have had in quite a while.
2. Did Hue Jackson even look anywhere else before signing on with the Browns?  Does he LIKE torturing himself or hate the bay area?
3. Speaking of disjointed, lost teams, I would make sure you and the Russian discuss ALL power issues before you sign on with the Nets, Mr. Colangelo.
4. I can’t imagine what it would be like if the Steelers left Pittsburgh.  I CERTAINLY can’t imagine what it would be like if the Steelers left Pittsburgh…TWICE.  Must suck, St. Louis, to be one of the best sports towns and be down surprisingly to TWO major teams now.
5. Thoughts and prayers to the family of Andrew Smith, and very classy how Brad Stevens and his employer, the Celtics, are handling this.
6. I think ex-UVA player Joe Harris has gotten more press in the last 24 hours than he has ever in the NBA.  He is injured, not playing, and got shipped to the Magic.
7. I know the Spurs have won 9 straight and the Cavs have won 8 straight, and amazing how boring suddenly the 36-2 Warriors are to people these days.
8. Crazy that we are mid-month in January and the Capitals haven’t even dropped double digit games yet.
