-In looking at playoff teams this year in the NBA, let me just say that when you look at the roster and the age of their star, this regular season may have been the most impressive yet for a Mavs team over the years.  18/6 with a 19 PER not too bad for a 37 year old Dirk.

-I crack on him enough, that I have to give props where props are due.  Dwight Howard may not be the brightest bulb on or off the court in his time in the season, but organizing a blood drive for Craig Saber through his group was very, very classy and thoughtful.

-I might not be the biggest FAN of Kobe, but I would be an idiot not to respect and then some what he has done in his career.

-In this whole Warriors vs. Bulls and which season is greater, can we remember that the Bulls slacked off at the end  and actually dropped two of their last four games BECAUSE NO ONE HAD WON MORE THAN 70 BEFORE THEM.  The Warriors are on a defined mission.

-Westbrook getting ANOTHER triple double to get in the record books is amazing.  Any time you are hanging out with Magic, it is a good thing.

LINE:

Not sure which impresses me more by skill or luck:  the Orioles being 6-0 or that guy catching 5 foul balls at an MLB game.

SINKER:

Not sure what I can add to a guy who won the Heisman as a freshman and now just parties telling us he lived in one city, but then we find out he actually lives with a guy who is waiting on an NFL ruling and then hours later it comes out that guy failed the last drug test.  Flow chart NEEDED.

THE RIVER:

-KU sure got a NICE replacement at SF for Selden and their best pro prospect since Wiggins in Josh Jackson.

-Whatever comes out about this hit and run with Will Smith, let’s not forget that he still shouldn’t have been SHOT.

-Didn’t drive the 4Runner to work today because it looks complicated enough for me to take a non timed test drive before rolling to work in it.

-I don’t really care what a QB who is off the top tier of peers has to say about college rules…right now at least.  Take a social media break, Cardale.

-I think Melo Trimble might be making a very large monetary mistake by going pro, as he might be at the top of that second round NON GUARANTEED round.

-I think I can name more reasons for Manny P. to NOT keep fighting than TO keep fighting.  Lack of competition out there to cement any legacy would be my first reason.
