Greetings and salutation, people. Thanks for coming aboard (the boat). Heading to one of the few mountain towns I haven’t been to tomorrow…Crested Butte. I will probably have limited blog time. No catch of the days or hooks, lines, and sinkers. Let’s just move.
I am also blogging because I came home to knock out another two hours of work, only to be disconnected to our Outlook server. Gunfighter/ software salesman without his gun/ connection.
Well, last night ended ANOTHER close call for a top flight Kentucky team where the opposing team didn’t close it out right. Or, if we look closer, it is simply Kentucky doing the things they need to do to dig themselves out of a hole they dug themselves. Listen, it is what it is. We have to go back to the UCLA days to find a time when a team looked anything close to unstoppable. I have been rooting for Kentucky to lose many times this season, but it is what it is. They find a way, and that will set them up nicely for close calls in the tourney, which they may or may not have.
Besides that hook, I think UGA still did its best to blow it.
Interesting trade by Chip Kelly, and I haven’t read ONE article that convinces me the reader knows exactly WHY he made the McCoy trade. In their prime quality RB’s are just a dime a dozen, right?
I am sure Chip Kelly is saving money for a defensive player like Suh. Sure.
I heard he is already spending his free time trying to change the Eagles logo to a duck one.
Did they send CJ Spiller a card in the mail at the same time saying “don’t let the door hit you in the a^&?”
Speaking of the Bills, someday Matt Cassel is going to be a GREAT trivia question. The Bills signed him up today, meaning the guy who went 10-5 and then won 23 games TOTAL over 6 games since has another starting QB chance. The only lower QBR of qualified QB’s during that time is Mark Sanchez.
I am writing this during an interesting game. Notre Dame is a team that can score however many points you want but can’t stop anyone. Louisville lost their PG, has one less shooter because of this, and has a GREAT defense. Close in the early 2^nd.
Some of you might think you don’t care where Andre Johnson goes next, but you should. For any team needing a top flight #2 receiver (past the #1 stage), he might be the rest of the offensive equation for them.
Jameis Winston visited the Bucs this week. It is a little early for top picks to be meeting with people, so let’s just assume he visited the team’s staff to give his side of crab stealing, alleged assault, and shouting cuss words at the moon on campus. Good luck with that.

Curt Schilling is fighting against vulgarity on Twitter, and you kind of have to love it. His daughter, who is 17, had vulgar texts sent to her after he congratulated her on going to college next year. Schilling has gotten two people dismissed from a team, one guy fired, and received like 7 apologies. Get’em, Curt. This stuff goes on all the time, so nice when a big name takes the stand to fight back.
Switch pitchers are getting hip. One guy is trying to make the A’s this year, and the other one is leading a #1 Vandy squad. I would LOVE to see one of those guys pitch at the highest level.
Rumor has it the Steelers hope Troy Polamalu retires. I don’t. I just wish he would change up his contract and retire a Steeler. He has a little left. He just doesn’t have that extra step that made him special. I don’t want to see him go out on another team. Find a way, y’all.
Not sure why I care that Serena Williams and her hitting partner have parted ways unless I didn’t read far enough down the article.
It is not like Harbaugh turned over a car and fought off attackers…but I suppose it is something cute regardless him helping some motorists.
Maybe the Spurs are trying to drop back OUT of the playoffs before making the late season run we are all accustomed to. That’s what they must be doing. Damn the West is so tough.
The Texas Longhorns are doing a loyalty thing with fans that I am surprised is cutting edge. I know it has been a while since I have been back in Charlottesville in college, but thought more colleges would have some sort of system going already.
In the KU-WVA game, I have decided that just when I figure out one of the teams, they throw me a curveball. WVA put up a MUCH bigger fight at KU’s crib than I expected.
Nice gesture to vote Lauren Hill all conference.

Ray Allen says he won’t play this year in the NBA, or as I read it, “I am going to wait until the VERY last minute to sign with a team so I don’t have to practice AND so I know who will have home court advantage.”
LeBron just passed Allen for 21^st all time in scoring. LBJ is SO young to be passing some of these people.
I am actually unsure of the pickup deadline for Allen. Just a hunch though.
I am tired of A.P. and the Vikings and any meetings with the two.

Once again, because of my respect for Duke’s program, I truly hope what we know is the end of this Sulaimon story.
Finally, Frank Kaminsky will win POY and is a cool as shit basketball player from Wisconsin. But, the fact that Frank Kaminsky got a pet impromptu and named it Khaleesi, Game of Thrones.
