Game 6.
Quick one before the game…
HOOK:
“Rain.”
Weather obstructed us from having a full view on Day 1, but already the course has showed its teeth. This Oakmont US Open is going to be a blast to watch, and because of its historical significance, we won’t hear players complaining about the course setup. Deal with it, guys. Typically I go through the whole scoreboard and call out notables, but without a full sample, it is tough to do. Therefore, I will just say this. Sometimes an athlete who “is the best to never win one” draws my ire and I don’t want them to ever win one. For some reason, Lee Westwood is not one of those guys. Nice to see him near the top of the leaderboard, and I will be rooting for him throughout.
LINE:
“Stats.”
This is ridiculous. I believe the stat is that the Dodgers have won 12 of 14 of his starts, and are nine games under .500 without him starting. Forgive me if those numbers are slightly off, but they are close to on point. Folks, we are witnessing the prime of someone who might be considered one of the top 2 or 3 pitchers of ALL TIME by the time he is done. Notice the WAR below. Notice the small amount of walks. Enjoy Clayton Kershaw.
SINKER:
“Tonight.”
Here is the deal. I had the Warriors in 7 from the beginning. After watching the series play out, I think the Warriors will take it down in Cleveland on the one year anniversary of last year’s series win in Cleveland. No way Irving makes everything again. No way the role players from GS disappear again. If I am worried about anything though, I am worried about Draymond Green coming out aggressive and getting into foul trouble. Then, without Bogut, the Warriors are back to Game 5. I think that doesn’t happen. The better team wins tonight. So, my thoughts tell me that the Warriors will win, but I won’t mind if the Cavs win and make this a seven game affair.
THE RIVER:
-Briles, don’t go there with Baylor. Just let this one go.
-Nice job, Colby Lewis, in almost getting the first no-hitter since Mr. Rodgers in 1994.
-Well, at least the Bills are winning SOMETHING, even if it is just the offseason. Thanks for letting us know, Rex.
-I don’t wear about 15 shirts that I really, really like, but I haven’t worn in years because I would have to iron them.
-Listen, Von Miller isn’t backpedaling and saying he doesn’t want to play. He just doesn’t want to play under the tag again. Relax, they will figure this out before the deadline.
That’s it. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro. Peace.
