It didn’t exactly make the top of the wire as a story, but it definitely caught MY eye.  The teams that might be a #1 overall seed get to pick their preferred venue for their first and second round games.  VERY interesting if you ask me, with lots of slippery slopes associated with it.  So, I like it overall and think more advantages should be given to the best regular season teams.  And, I assume they have thought through the process.  My problem is THIS.  We have a hard enough time selecting the top 4 teams, let alone picking the best of those four.  I am just thinking this rule expands to give all four #1 teams options, byes, nearby venues, etc.

But, it sure is fun.

LINE:

It might be a little over the top in content and actual truthfulness of all lifestyles of pro athletes.  But, Mark Wahlberg has replicated his Entourage model and it WORKS.  Take the clever plot twists, big time cameos, and raciness and don’t overthink and just enjoy.  If you are not watching this show, you are missing out.

SINKER:

Let’s just say a colleague is having a very bad week that should be the best, and I wish him a quick turnaround and better weeks to come.

THE RIVER:

1. Seriously.  A day later.  Twenty under in a Major is a LOT people.  Any Major.
2. Any interview with Bill Walton is fantastic, and caught another one over the weekend.
3. Corn on the cob is one of my favorite things in life, but if you put the corn in a pile on my plate, I won’t eat it.
4. Not saying the Cardinals aren’t already hiring the brightest of the brightest, but hacking a personnel database, aye?
5. Another year comes with two new contracts where I will try my best NOT to take Bush or Foster in a fantasy draft.
6. Alphonse Taylor probably didn’t mean to get a DUI, but there are a token number of arrests and mild misdeeds that Bama has to commit to for continuing to be the Evil Empire.
7. You can try and explain it any way you want to, Jon Jones.  Not buying what you are selling.
8. The Twins really DID plummet down really fast oddly.  GM gone now.
