1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  My legal list is messy and my thoughts are scattered, so let’s clear this list today as opposed to focusing on one thing.  Call it a meeting of everyone who has the same amount of NFL receiving TD’s as the Chiefs wide receiving unit.
2. That would be zero.
3. I may or may not be listening to the Game of Thrones theme song on repeat while writing this.
4. So, the Pats and Chiefs played a while back and we were confused with the Chiefs and some started talking about the slow demise of Tom Brady. I guess the Chiefs are decent and the Pats might be the best team in the NFL.
5. Aaron Rodgers probably would have a problem with that statement. And Peyton Manning.
6. Russell Martin signing with the Blue Jays means we have another year of trying to figure out why all that money they have spent in the last two years isn’t doing anything.
7. I like the Jason Heyward trade. He has underachieved thus far in his career, but is still young enough with the athletic skills that a change of scenery might do him and everyone a solid.  I think the Cards just got hooked up when this is all said and done.  They didn’t have to give up much either.
8. Got this feeling. Ben Tate gets released and the Colts are down a back.  Just a hunch-I haven’t seen it anywhere.
9. I remember Ahmad Brooks being a big time UVA recruit with baggage. Well, he has made it back, but apparently is still baggage.  Know your role and do your best.  The 49ers are an underachieving team, but you complaining about Aldon Smith getting back his starting spot is going to do no one any good.
10. I am tired of hearing about Marshawn Lynch’s future in Seattle.
11. Todd Gurley sure had an up and down year, with the ACL being his last gasp for this one. The guy averaged 7.4 yards per carry playing mostly in the SEC. Get well, and expect to be drafted.
12. When is this Brandon Marshall fight? I want to watch.
13. Yes, I am very excited to see Hunger Games.
14. I personally think the whole Wooden Watch List thing is dumb. I understand the politics in some ways, but saying the Wooden Award HAS to come from a list of 50 kids selected BEFORE the season is silly. Just wait a couple months and THEN pick the nominees.
15. I thought Magic calling Aaron Rodgers Larry Bird was just random.
16. The Saints losing twice in a row at home is just weird.
17. I don’t care how the contract breaks down and what the verbiage/ options decipher as, paying someone in a professional sport for 13 years is also silly. The ONE time the Marlins saddle up to pay someone and I think they are whack.
18. Something about Syracuse and a YMCA…need more info.
19. I am pretty sure the UCONN women don’t mind losing to Stanford right now and lose their streak of 47 straight games…because it is early. They just don’t want to lose late. Plus, it is not like Stanford is any sort of basketball slouch in the women’s world.
20. I am not sure who is more confused by last night’s win by Denver AT Cleveland…Nuggets fans or Cavs fans. Never saw THAT one coming.
21. Royal did insanely good on his football picks last week I am told.

26. Josh Gordon is back. Do something else mildly entertaining now.
27. Thanks again to Lindsey’s dad for having that time share in Aspen and…sharing…it. Getting pumped for the end of the week. Love that place so much.
28. So, I don’t have any actual change and I offered the soda machine some bubble gum but nothing happened. What if Dwayne Gratz needed a cab…or ANYTHING requiring money or a card?
29. P. is suspended and I personally hope to not hear from him for quite a while. My little dream that won’t come true of course.
30. I had a bunch of notes from the game last night. I will spare you. The Steelers proved nothing to me because they simply beat a subpar team at their crib.  I didn’t learn anything from it.  I already knew Bell was a stud.  I already knew about the totally random 5 receptions per game record someone figured out Antonio Brown holds.  I already knew I am sick and tired of the Did you Know Geico commercials.  Basically I didn’t learn much except that I am glad they have a bye week next week.
31. Antonio Brown carries a lot of gear at his hip during games.
32. Blount, you shouldn’t have left field early. See hook above about Ahmad Brooks. Be a team player and recognize your role.  Bell was killing it.
33. I successfully didn’t watch an episode of Game of Thrones yesterday.  Monstrous step.  Actually, just taking a post season 1 mini break.
