Okay, let’s ride.

HOOK:

“V”

The Jimmy V Classic is always good.  Whether you like the giving, the speech in between games, or the quality basketball, it is worth the watch.  Last night, you would have seen two things.  You watched a methodical top ten team teach a hectic/ turnover producing team how to make halftime adjustments.  WVU scored 36 points in the first half and only 18 in the second half.  Perrantes wiped off the rust and started playing also.  Gill was big.  UVA will not go away.

The second game featured contender Maryland.  Once again, you are watching a team start to gel with a lot of moving parts.  If you like any other college team, pray they don’t pull it together fully by March…otherwise, just advance them.

LINE:

“Moves.”

There is no reason NOT to like the Ben Zobrist pickup by the Cubs.  And four years at $56 million is not crazy in this day and age.  In case you were not CRYSTAL clear about them being a contender next year, they just want to make sure you are aware.

The Orioles have offered Chris Davis 7/150 and have brought it to the attention of Mr. Boras that he can’t delay like he prefers to do.  The kid has the most homers in the last couple years and was beyond solid last year.  I like the offer.

The Dbacks snuck in and snagged Shelby Miller in a nifty little trade with the Braves.  They sent last year’s #1 but not the guy the Braves actually preferred.  Miller went a misleading 6-17 last year with a 3.02 ERA, so he just didn’t have run support.  I personally hope this isn’t the FULL answer to filling out the Greinke rotation though.  But, nice pickup regardless.

SINKER:

“Benz.”

Jeff Adrien was a solid player back in the day for UCONN basketball, and a journeyman during his recently axed NBA career.  He is only 29, is 6’7″, and probably could still ball if he applied himself.  To think about this motivation evidently, he decided to do a popular thinking task.  He took a drive.  Problem is that he stole a Mercedes from a hotel valet and then returned it six hours later.  If he were going to be a full fledged criminal, why bring it back?  He had a nice car, no career presently, and I just hope he did something fun on the drive that we can hear about.  Don’t think Mr. Cage would have appreciated him bringing it back.

That’s it for today.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
