HOOK:
“BLOCK.”
OK, LeBron haters. You can hate the free agency TV special. You can hate him “building a team.” But, he delivered one of the greatest performances in an NBA Finals ever. And whatever nickname they decide on for that RIDICULOUS block when the Warriors assumed they were getting an easy 2 on 1 layup will be the right one. Legendary fumbles, drives, jump shots, and blown saves are like gut shots to Cleveland fans. The list is long. But, now they have one, and man it was the best combination of beautiful and scrappy you will EVER see.
LINE:
“GOT.”
No buffer day this time, folks. We are down to last episodes, so watch it on time. Last night was solid. It was a little predictable of course, but we got a couple things we wanted. Maybe it was odd that Sansa would risk arrows and tramplings and swords to forget to tell Jon Snow that he had some boys coming or that she even sent a note in the first place. Maybe Rickon doesn’t believe in possibly altering course when being shot by arrows. Maybe the dragons are suddenly the most well behaved and well aimed creatures on earth suddenly. And maybe time machines exist so Yara and Theon can drop by Dany’s neighborhood halfway around the world. Sure, there are flaws. But, dammit, the show is SOOOO awesome that you still want to watch. And Dany has ships and Bolton got eaten alive by dogs. Yes.
SINKER:
“DJ.”
Nice to see one of the most talented kids in the game win yesterday at the toughest golf challenge out there. Dustin Johnson was solid all the way up to his post match interview. But, he doesn’t care about that. He may not be the most touching of story to win a Major, but he is sure as heck good enough to earn one. When you are #1 in driving distance AND in the top five of overall driving, you are doing some things right.
THE RIVER:
“OFFSEASON.”
It is officially my offseason. Hockey, football, and basketball all are on break. I love baseball, but I usually wait for the postseason to watch full games. Just bits and pieces, and mainly for announcer chatter. 162 is enough games that I can take a break. Of course, I started this offseason informing my household that tomorrow is off limits due to a US-Argentina soccer match. Ah, it never really ends.
That’s it for today. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro. Peace.
