Remember when it was not good…but GREAT???

Thoughts for the day…this will make tomorrow’s cast lighter and more streamlined.

1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  Let’s turn and burn.
2. Going to be a many hook/ speedy blog today.  UVA-UNC coming up shortly where I will write during the first 10 minutes at commercials and also…the NBA ASG festivities.
3. Hey, ESPN, I KNOW you can put a Game Day NCAA game earlier in the day.  Why did you have to make me flip between the game and ASG stuff?  BS.
4. Let’s hope my thoughts come across more clearly than Kyrie Irving saying the earth is flat or Joe Lunardi thinking Clemson is one of the last teams out of the tourney.
5. Had a PRODUCTIVE day.  Nonstop errands.  Now, relaxation time.  Tomorrow, I will clean two closets and the beast (our guest room), and get ready for a work day when my wife has the day off Monday.
6. I even cleaned WHILE we had a cleaning woman come over and clean bathrooms.
7. Is it sad that I have now started a Google Doc for Lindsey’s likes and dislikes because I have the memory of NOT an elephant??  Hey, things are at least documented.
8. You should be watching this bubble game with UGA and UK.  UGA is giving UK all they can handle.
9. Zags won again today.  This is NOT St. Joseph’s back in the Day Part II (also undefeated going into tourney).  This team is SOLID 1 through 10.  Listen, people said the same shit about Nova last year and look what happened.
10. I am sort of sad that Dick Vitale is doing THIS game and not the UNC-UVA game.  His voice and knowledge just BREATHE college hoops.
11. I am not jealous Vince is AT the UNC-UVA game.  Not at all.  Nope…ugghhh.
12. Lindsey’s engagement and wedding ring place is in Cherry Creek.  I wasn’t overly impressed by my first trip to Bad Daddy’s over that way.  I was today.  Get the Pastrami burger without the sauerkraut.
13. Of course, I think sauerkraut is disgusting looking AND tasting.
14. Pastrami is a whole other story.  I would post Seinfeld pics, but am saving a picture blog tomorrow with very little content.
15. My boss said Friday that I basically just work, workout, hang out with my wife, blog, play piano, and drink with Hoban out of hours.  Yeah…that is close I think.
16. I am not a Nuggets fan but DO root for them.  Not a hater.  Anyway, Jokic is a next coming of SOMETHING.  Lit it UP last night in the Rising Stars game.  He will be in the skills competition tonight.  Should be fun watching a big man navigate those obstacles.
17. Read the 538 article on ESPN about Jokic.  Stats are STAGGERING.
18. Of course, there are oddly like 3 other huge men in that competition.
19. And Klay Thompson is the only big name in the three point shootout…
20. And it would take me days to explain to my wife the background of the guys in the slam dunk competition.
21. (remembering MJ vs. Wilkins in the dunk contest…mmmmmm)
22. I took UVA tonight plus the points (when am I EVER going to get 6.5 points with UVA?) but it is not blasphemous as it was in a minor parlay.

24. I can’t believe how much shit I got done today.  Opposite of last week when I started day with bottomless at brunch…
25. West Virginia ALMOST had a game that would have been a letdown after the KU comeback against them.  Got through it.
26. And…KU came back AGAIN.  Baylor, can you EVER at least give KU a RUN for the conference title?  I guess I shouldn’t be mad at you…no one seems to be able to do it.
27. I disagree with ESPN.  This new ESPN 6 Sportcenter thing is not optimal in my opinion.  At 6pm, I just want SCORES.
28. Of course, ESPN, I ALSO wanted you to hold your promise about making a network channel that ONLY played updates…and you failed on THAT.  ESPN News has GAMES on here and there.  Sucks.  What IS the point?
29. Webber and McGrady are HOF finalist this year.  Is this the “we only WISH we knew what you COULD have done year???”
30. Get Rollie in.  I don’t even care what he did besides 1985.  He deserves it just because of THAT.
31. Shut up, Steve Fisher.  Not the same thing.  NOT a parallel.
32. I see NC State really showed some grit today in one of their coaches last games…can’t even win at home.
33. I am not saying that MSU shouldn’t lose games.  Sure, rebuild.  But, get SMOKED by a team whose main player initially committed to you?  You got SMOKED today.  That shouldn’t happen.
34. Vince, I might show your pics tomorrow.  I am getting nervous for my…our…game.
35. Figures the Evil Empire of college would get an OC from the Evil Empire of the NFL.  Makes perfect sense.
36. Arrival was good as a movie.  I was fine with it.  It might win awards.  I get the point of the movie (after my wife explained the deeper point as she is smarter than me).  But, I was fine when it ended and I had Departure.
37. The conversation might have been had during that movie about how dumber people watch these kinds of movies.  Thing is good on surface.  Thing goes DEEP if you think about it though.  Wow.  Try to fight through the flashbacks…
38. LOVE Mark Cuban.  Trump calls him too dumb to be President, Trump is Pres #45, and Cuban wears a #46 jersey number for the ASG celebrity game.  Wrote it off as 23 x 2.  Yeah…
39. Hey, Trump, I don’t do politics in this thing, but you DO realize you are the President of the U.S., right?  You can’t delete tweets without us noticing.  Just giving you a heads up.
40. One more thing about the Rising Stars game.  Nugs looked good not only with Jokic but with MURRAY.  WOW!
41. Yes, Frank the Tank.  You did YOUR thing also.  Props.
42. You can hate or love UFC.  St. Pierre coming back with a record of 25-2 is…kind of exciting.  I will personally tune in to his first fight.
43. Bad year for old school wrestlers…George the Animal Steele died TOO?  Wow.  I guess he WAS 79 so that is ok.  Hulk Hogan should stay indoors for a while.
44. UGA…still hanging around.  Great game.

49. So, let me get this straight.  We DON’T expect Cousins and Davis to say they want to stay with their present teams, and they do.  I expect Paul George to say that, but he doesn’t.  Uneasiness in the state of bball.
50. Oh, that is right.  Two years is up, so Reggie Jackson (not the HOF baseball one) is being considered in trade talks.  What a weird career THAT guy is having.  GREAT trivia question someday I promise you.
51. Speaking of great trivia questions someday, Mario Williams got cut by the Dolphins.
52. I am sad to not hear enough jokes about the Revis arrest and “island” jokes.  Bring them.  I can’t connect the dots.  Not a joke teller.
53. Actually, that is true, I bartended for 14 years and ONLY told the fish-wall joke.  Refused to learn jokes.  My sparkling personality, singing karaoke behind the bar, and OCD of service helped me become a great bartender.
54. Well, we knew he would be at a Good Will Hunting job OR the President of the U.S.  Battier will become head of analytics for the Heat.  Still time for President, and after THIS 4 year train wreck coming to a country near you, I would vote for him.
55. Vermette was suspended 10 games?????  BS.  Not a true swipe at the ref.
56. Crosby is the best NHL player of our day arguably.  He became the 12th fastest player to 1k points.  12th.  If you really want to blow your mind, google “Wayne Gretzky” and stare at the wall in awe for 12 minutes.
57. It WAS kind of cool that Crosby ALSO got the game winner the same night though.  Props.
58. Watched the Eagles of Death Metal documentary the other day.  WATCH it.  Doc about the band that was playing in Paris when all of that horrible terrorist crap went down.
59. Scary fact after reading 10 pages in SI about team needs in the NFL the other day (that is kind of what I like to do for fun).  With the dominance they have, only THREE teams have more cap space than the Pats.  THAT is scary, my friends.
60. I said it in my last blog.  Draymond Green was smoking something with the slave/ master comment.  He backtracked.  He reads my blog evidently.  Good.
61. Once again, 15 of my favorite minutes of the week was reading Zach Lowe’s Things I like and don’t like on ESPN.com.
62. Someone HAS to get busted on Bourbon Street in New Orleans before the ASG for me to really be happy this weekend.
63. Hate to make a bad joke, but do you think the girl made fun of Trent Richardson’s YPC for his career right before he did bad things?  Shame to hear about that.  THAT seals HIS possible comebacks.
64.
