The Blogenant.
Read it, don’t read it, I don’t care…just needed to get some things off my chest.
In no particular order of chronology or importance…
No need to be on the clock but I will be. Not an airplane cast. Sunday afternoon rant. Semi-speed version. Let’s turn and burn.

- Greetings and salutation, people. Thanks for coming aboard (the boat). Semi-speed means I don’t restrict myself to one sentence, but I have other stuff to do, with it already being a productive day (need to clear out the eve for my boys). Let’s move.
- JJ. No real pops. A couple at lunch. Nothing to be excited about.
- Guy on the right. One of my favorite people, y’all.
- I could listen to that Christmas commercial with Stevie Wonder and what’s her name all day.
- I plan on finishing this and getting all Christmas shopping done online so when I wake up, I am done except for the sending part.
- Mom, we double bought for you…miscommunication in these walls. Don’t complain.
- Lots of other baseball pieces to fall into place, but Cueto is a major moving part of this mess.
- The good news about Muschamp taking over for the Ole’ Ball Coach is that interviews and sidelines will be just as interesting.
- We got the four teams we expected and wanted for the College Football Playoff, but still confused whether I had to take off time last year to see a freaking playoff game in the afternoon.
- I guess I might be more pissed if out East, as their NYE plans are either football or NOT football.
- I have to help save seats for the early OU game for my lady at Stoney’s, the local OU watch bar.
- We looked at Orange Bowl travel pricing. Not in our budget I don’t think.
- Someone needs to help with my sanity. How am I able to watch the Pats game DURING the Broncos game when for the last ten years the other channel is blacked out during Broncos games?
- Lindsey says otherwise, but I am learning very slowly to just simply say “Babe, you are right.”
- The Bama-UF game went as expected, but the turning points were a couple of penalties AND a couple ridiculously hard to catch long Bama balls.
- LOVE CBS playing a Weiland song or two coming back from commercial.
- I think my boy (Kyle) had a coed baby shower that maybe I should have attended. This is another reminder that I don’t pay attention to Facebook. Sorry, bud.
- Told you Clemson-UNC would end in a semi-heart attack for Clemson. I think Lost Lettermen/ now Jim Weber said it best.
- The Iowa loss to Michigan State was the most positive loss by a team in contention I remember.
- Hence their #5 final ranking. Take THAT, Stanford and Ohio State.
- Before Creed, I got to watch the long commercials for Concussion and The Revenant. Man, The Revenant looks really, really good and could be Leonardo’s first acting solo Oscar (I think-not checking). I might give it to him just by watching the long preview.
- Lindsey has two good friends who don’t have cable, like wine, and had a wine tasting competition/ party DURING the three games at night last night. I made due, and even put my two cents into the wine tasting competition. The scary thing is I used to be a bartender and SELL and describe wine. I am shallow.
- I went because I love those two. They are rock stars, wine or no sports or not. Here they are.
- I had a conversation with Stacy about the word “almost.” It is a very powerful word. It can mean you got stopped in doing something you would regret or tried something but didn’t succeed something very, very cool. I have almost done a TON of things.
- Here are the remnants of the cheese plate I felt like I had a right to eat once I had some wine and contributed.
- Another day in our lives, and another day the Warriors are undefeated. They beat Toronto IN Toronto, and that is not a bad squad, people.
- I drop Dorial Green-Beckham from my fantasy squad and NOW he has a game.
- I have winning records in both leagues (first in one), but I am getting ROCKED in fantasy this week in both-do some crazy stuff, Brady.
- But, it is like John McEnroe may or may not have said (been quoting this for years), if you are going to miss, miss BIG.
- Not sure why Lindsey had Back to the Future Part II on last night before bed, but realized I need to see it again as I didn’t remember much of it.
- If you live anywhere near Uptown in Denver, you need to make three times a week stops at Marzcyk’s and at least check out the soup. If Lindsey doesn’t eat the tomato-jalapeno in the fridge by tonight, that is GONE.
- Speaking of them, I have a block of Havarti cheese I need to hit up in a second.
- When I DO get a new ride (probably will be stranded by Eleanor before that happens), I might have a get together like the Nissan commercial where the dude crushes it at a junkyard.
- So, I get the feeling from my friends that this presently first place wedding band is too loud? It is different from anything I have ever seen for a wedding band. Thoughts? I like blue. Maybe a thinner blue band in the middle? One of my buds, Cerk, said he likes his because it is undercover and barely noticeable. Don’t I WANT it to be noticeable?
- As I break in my new Steelers hat, am I the ONLY person who knows that running a hat through the dishwasher tightens it up?
- Weiland in the background at the Pats game too.
- My cat, TyRion/ Jackson balances his demonic times with cute times so perfectly, I think he is planning our demise.
- Plus, I am not used to anyone or anything following me around and liking me this much.
- He still fetches. Rolled up yellow legal pad paper.
- The Bills-Texans and Dolphins-Ravens games were perfect examples of teams trying to figure out their identity and whether they are good, bad, or mediocre.
- The Bengals won decisively, but what does it really mean to beat the Browns these days?
- I didn’t see the whole game, but looks like Jay Cutler is trying to be the new Jeff George. Waste. Of. Talent.
- The Titans and Jaguars sure put on a show between teams who can’t beat anyone except maybe the Browns right now.
- Jets. Giants. Bipolar.
- Thanks for showing up today, Vikings, and REALLY making us think you are a player in the whole Super Bowl conversation.
- In my office pool, let the record show I picked the Saints over the Panthers. Not saying they will win, but I thought they would give them a game.
- The Bucs can lose to anyone and beat anyone right now.
- The Cardinals are really JUST getting started, people. They are pretty damn good even with losing CJ1K.
- Feeling pretty good about the Steelers tonight at home vs. Colts. Should be a decisive victory.
- Stanford-Iowa is going to be a fantastic football game.
- I hope FSU doesn’t say “we are just playing Houston,” because that truck will run over them if they are not careful.
- I just realized that although I didn’t want to write a book today, I still am.
- They are probably both bitter being left out overall, but Notre Dame-Ohio State is a GREAT matchup of perennially good teams.
- Speaking of “almost,” OSU vs. Ole Miss.
- Let’s all raise your drink for a Northwestern squad that again surpassed expectations from a very smart school. I hope UVA gets back to that level of football soon, so we can have smart parties with Stanford and Northwestern.
- I made a mistake in saying the Chargers-Broncos game was a “trap game” evidently.
- I was unaware of new technology and sure as HELL am not working out with a phone on me, so my new Shuffle arrives this week as they haven’t discontinued it and I might be the last person to buy one I guess.
- Breaking ANY records by Barry Sanders is extraordinary, and what that McCaffrey kid did this year better get him a trip to New York at least.
- That’s it for today. Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro.
