The Buffer Day. We get 24 hours, people.
HOOK:
“NBA.”
After reading articles about how lethal the Cavs were through the playoffs, today there is an article pondering if this is LeBron’s worst supporting cast. Make up your mind, people, and know the Warriors having personnel where everyone can guard multiple positions and switching constantly is killing the Cavs. Plus, LeBron half recruits his own team anyway. Who would have thought that one of the worst two game differentials in NBA Finals history would be accompanied on the WINNING team by their leading scorer only going for 11 and 18 points? The fact that Steve Kerr is abrasively unafraid to put ANYONE on his bench in the game to keep people fresh is amazing. Team of destiny, maybe, accompanied by a brilliantly put together roster…
-Side note is that Curry announced he will not be playing the Olympics because of recent injuries. That’s right, Cleveland, he is saying he is beat up ALSO in the beatdowns.
LINE:
“Tonight.”
The Pens and Sharks go at it tonight in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. It would be a little obvious to just state that this is a must win for the San Jose because that splitting of the atom merely acknowledges that two of the last three games would be in Pittsburgh and odds would be heavily against the Sharks. But, I have another idea. However you do it, get some pucks ON goal. You are getting outshot 124-69, guys. At least find a way to get some clearance for some action. Maybe a puck trickling in with some luck turns the tide.
SINKER:
“Turner.”
This Stanford swimmer-rape case has gone viral and I finally sat down and read the 12 page document today written by the victim. I decided to read it after hearing the backlash from the raper’s father’s comments about “20 minutes” of his life. I now understand why Lindsey couldn’t really pay attention to any conversation we were having while she was reading it over the weekend, and I was extremely moved by it. I would recommend getting on the bandwagon. Here is the link so you have no excuse. https://www.sccgov.org/sites/da/newsroom/newsreleases/Documents/B-Turner%20VIS.pdf
THE RIVER:
“Iverson.”
Note that there will be an exclusive interview with Allen Iverson at 6pm MTN on NBATV. Should be interesting to say the least, and I plan on watching it being one of his biggest fans (ON the court).
-Sam Presti might be giving Durant “space,” but I wouldn’t give him TOO much space out of respect. Sam, your girl is getting lots of calls, bro.
-Aaron Rodgers is quitting dairy products. I have thought about cleaning up my diet, but there HAS to be a way without skipping my favorite food group. HAS to be.
-I got lucky today on the “buffer day” for Game of Thrones (something I made up about respecting the non watchers for one 24 hour period before talking plot details at the water cooler). I didn’t have time to see it last night, tonight is the night, and I made it through the day with no internet looking or accidentally caught conversation. I am hearing they get RIGHT to the action and it answers some important questions. Well, we ARE approaching the always insane three last episodes of the season. And Silicon Valley too of course.
That’s it for today. Will I blog tomorrow? That is a CLOWN question, bro. Peace.
