1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  It is a speed version today as I have the day off from work, and there is too much going on in the sports world to stare at my computer.  One sentence per hook style again.
2. UVA basketball is undefeated, but I am concerned about the progress of London Perrantes-4,1,2 is not what I call progress after his amazing freshman year last year.
3. It amazes me the amount the overall sports pendulum has swung back to where it is, because I think about how the Steelers released LeGarrette Blount in a heartbeat after he left the field early but kept Big Ben through all of his stuff and I am amazed.
4. Lindsey’s family has shrimp cocktail before every holiday dinner, and I am still laughed at because I once ate the entire bowl because I THOUGHT that the bowl was filled with shrimp and not mostly ice underneath.
5. Did it just happen or did I just happen to notice late that Troy Aikman has the most obvious fake spray tan that I have ever seen?
6. How do we actually know that dogs actually LIKE dog food?
7. I am pretty sure that every single thing coming out of Peter Dinklage’s mouth in Game of Thrones is quotable.
8. When someone is playing through an injury, I have decided to call them NDR (not Derrick Rose).
9. Speaking of injury and doctors and stuff, the fact that Russell Westbrook is in the starting lineup as of tonight is just SICK.
10. We can crack on other parts of his personality, but this timeline was ridiculous.
11. Lindsey suddenly is talking a lot more to her iPhone.
12. Calvin Johnson being the fastest WR to 10,000 yards is probably not the last record that guy will break…just a hunch.
13. I wouldn’t be concerned that the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team barely won last night against an unranked team, but maybe whoever is voting them over UK as #1 will pull THAT vote.
14. I think Bill Simmons week 13 column pretty much just said the same thing I said last Monday.

16. Is Candy Crush “Soda” something totally different, and should I assume my fiancée and brother are already on level 600?
17. It is a shame that Texas is not having a good football year, but that TCU win over them had some looks of a trap game and that obviously didn’t happen.
18. Iowa football is like a mosquito, and I bet no one is ever excited to play them.
19. So, now that UCLA is respected again and about back where they were ranked preseason, I wonder if the GOOD version will beat Stanford this weekend.
20. I watched the new Star Wars trailer-I personally didn’t get much from it except that I hope it is better than the last three.
21. Now the Jurassic World trailer was awesome, although not really clear on how we didn’t learn our lesson in the last couple movies about building a dinosaur park.
22. The GOT guy that I call “The old Golden Child guy” is suddenly very important as I just ended season 2.
23. This is one of the many reasons I follow Lost Lettermen on Twitter.
24. Lindsey turning on any of the Karate Kids basically means she is attempting to have me cancel all plans and stare at the TV for the next hour.
25. I wandered down the street to check out The Last Waltz at The Fillmore and left the concert wondering why I hesitated in going at all.
26. I lost at pool the other night, and I would at least like it noted that my partner came up and apologized for not making…pretty much anything.
27. I find it odd that none of the three quality matchups on turkey day actually came down to the wire.
28. The Lions are SO close at making the leap into being a contender.
29. The Eagles have too many weapons NOT to be dangerous.
30. Read my old blogs, and I have said from day one that the Cowboys would falter in this part of the season.
31. The 49ers not defending their home field against their nemesis was WEAK.
32. The Cleveland Cavaliers are back to .500 and I hope you really didn’t think they weren’t going to make it back there quickly.
33. I am watching Nebraska just STORM back on Iowa-wonder how many people changed the channel.
34. I turned it on because I had the Huskers as one of my consultant picks.
35. Sorry to hear about the Aussie cricket player, and whoops on my earlier rant.
36. I hope Mr. Mettenberger is doing well in selfie rehab.
37. Arizona beating San Diego State yesterday was a solid win against a very good Aztec team.
38. I don’t really care if Rex Ryan does or does not know he is getting fired.
39. I am watching the living stuffed animal this weekend, and the dog is pretty low maintenance and as low key as you could want when you really don’t feel like doing anything aside from watching hours of sports all weekend.
40. My Jeep is in the garage getting a “check up,” and I assume the call is coming any time now to make me aware of the various other ailments Eleanor has.
41. Odd that I just explained to Lindsey who Skeletor was in He-Man back in the day and suddenly Skeletor is everywhere in commercials and skits and stuff.
42. Watching Lindsey’s mom, Debbie, navigate gates and outside time with 20 dogs in her house is quite entertaining.
43. I am not sure HOW this missing Ohio State lineman thing will turn out, but wandering around after concussions at 2am doesn’t sound like a good plan.
44. The United States moved down to #23 in the new FIFA rankings, and my hopes from 10 years ago of us being a legitimate world power in my lifetime are now null and void.
45. That is it. I need to go take care of some things before the UVA football and basketball game later.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.
